Privacy policy

This policy describes the TradeQuote Tools website: the home page, the four quote calculators, the feedback page, and the about, contact, privacy, and terms pages.

Accounts and quote data

There is no account system. Calculator fields, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, job text, and amounts, are used in your browser to show and print a quote. The scripts on this site do not transmit those entries to a server. If you do not save a draft, they are cleared when you refresh or leave the page, unless your own browser keeps a copy in its back-forward cache.

Drafts stored in this browser

Save draft writes the quote into the browser’s local storage under the key tradequote.drafts.v1. That copy can include the business and customer details you typed. It stays on that browser profile until you delete the draft, clear site data, or the browser drops stored data. It is not synchronized to your other devices. Anyone who can use that browser profile can open the drafts. This site does not receive a copy. If storage is blocked or full, the page tells you and leaves the quote on the screen only.

Feedback

The feedback page describes four questions: which trade you work in, whether a calculator was useful, what could be improved, and an optional note about interest in future premium features. It does not ask for quote amounts, hourly rates, customer names, or other job details. Do not type those into a feedback answer.

The feedback page offers a link to a Google Form. Following it opens Google Forms in a new tab. What you submit is sent to Google and kept in that form, under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. TradeQuote Tools does not receive a copy, does not attach the quote on your screen, and does not require an account. The form is not embedded on this site, so viewing the feedback page does not itself send your answers to Google. Opening the page does not create a feedback record on this website.

What these pages do not include

These pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies set by this project. They do not embed third-party fonts, videos, payment tools, or a Google Form. There is no form on this site that stores a message.

Printing

Print and Save as PDF use your browser. The file is created on your device. This website does not receive a copy of the quote.

Hosting logs

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address, the time, and the page requested. Those logs are controlled by Cloudflare. This project does not add its own logging of quote contents. Nothing in the calculator is designed to be written into those logs.

Children

The site is written for adults who price trade work. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. The calculators will not start sending quote contents to a server unless a future version says so plainly on this page before you use it.

Contact

The contact page publishes an email address and does not include a message form. Choosing the address opens your email application. A message you send is handled by the email provider, not stored by a form on this website. This site does not publish a phone number or a street address. The terms of use explain how the estimates may be used.
